Media Hive News Network,
Feb 1, 2013
New Delhi: Writing English clearly is an important goal for all English learners, particularly those in the business of communication. To help them achieve this, a book titled Nuances of Journalistic Writings has been launched on Friday. Authored by Raza Elahi, a journalist having worked with many reputed newspapers in India and abroad, this book can be read with profit by students as well as general readers as it has several interesting and topical write-ups. The book, which is published by Applied Books and marketed by Media Hive, is available at a special discount price of Rs 126. (Click Here)
Catering to the budding journalists with a quality book, this book has introduced the dynamics of different types of journalistic writings in an interesting and easy way. According to Mr Elahi though primarily written for media students and young journalists, this book is a perfect guide for students of all the streams who wish to improve their English writing skills. The book has many chapters like Leisure Writing, Author’s Pick and Page 3 Journalism etc., which will interest general readers too.
"Nuances of Journalistic Writings will be a useful companion to anyone who is training to be or already in the business of effective communication in the English language,” said P Ramesh Kumar, Assistant Editor, The Times of India.
“While journalists are into the business of writing, what is surprising is that there is hardly any good book on how to do such writing. This book is a good beginning to help fill the vacuum. I hope with his unique way of presenting his views, Raza succeeds in his efforts with this book,” said KJ Bennychan, Chief of Bureau, PTI.
According to Sanjay Kumar, News Editor, Times of India Online, among the highlights of the book are the selections of excellent write-ups to discuss different types of journalistic writings.
Mr Elahi has worked in various capacities in leading national and international newspapers and media groups, including Khaleej Times (Dubai), The Economic Times, The Pioneer and The Financial Express etc. His first book, How to Become a Good Journalist, is very popular among media students and young journalists.
