The journalism school of Jamia Milia Islamia has been rated as the best in India by a weekly after a countrywide survey.

Jamia Millia Islamia's Mass Communication Research Centre (AJKMCRC) has retained its first position for the second consecutive year in an all-India ranking survey of top professional educational institutions having government accreditation or affiliation, conducted by Outlook magazine recently,

The magazine said that "detailed objective questionnaires were sent to 1,700 colleges across India."

AJKMCRC offers seven courses -- M.A. in Mass Communication (50 seats), M.A. in Convergent Journalism (20 seats), M.A. in Development Communication (20 seats), M.A. in Visual Effects & Animation; P.G. Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication; P.G. Diploma in Acting and P.G. Diploma in Broadcast Technology. A written examination will be held to select the students for these courses. The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) is inviting applications for its Post Graduate Programme in Communication (PGDPC).. This integrated program awards PGDPC (Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Communication along with the MA JMC (Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication).

The DSC programme covers all the relevant subjects such asAdvertising, Entertainment Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Marketing and Branding.

Last Date of Submission: 30th May 2016.

Asian College of Journalism, Chennai and Indian Institute of Mass Communication Communication, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India, are inviting applications for their Post Graduate courses. Last date for receiving applications in ACJ is April 11, 2016, while in IIMC it is May 6, 2016. Both ACJ and IIMC conduct entrance exams for the admission.

Asian College of Journalism:

A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory. Graduates in any discipline and students awaiting their degree examination results are eligible to apply for admission to the ACJ. Enrolled students should provide their degree certificate to the Registrar within the first week of commencement of classes. Students awaiting their examination results should provide their degree certificate latest by the end of February 2017.

After a careful assessment of applications, short-listed candidates will be required to take an entrance examination on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

The examination will be offered in Thiruvananthapuram, Cochin, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Patna, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bhopal, Lucknow, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Pune, Ahmedabad, and possibly other cities.
